Joining Info Loch Creran

Your cruise will start from our mooring at Loch Creran, near Oban. We will be ready to welcome you aboard ‘Lizzie May’ at 15.00hrs on the Saturday.

By Car:

From Glasgow & the South – Follow the M8 North, leaving Glasgow follow signs for A82 Crianlarich/Fort William, continue on A82 until you reach Tyndrum, here follow signs for A85/Oban, continue on A85, at Connel follow signs for A828, continue through Oban, head out of Oban towards Barcaldine, at Barcaldine you will see a sign on your left for the Marine Resource Centre (MRC) continue through the metal gates towards water and you will see car parking on your right.

From Inverness & the North – Driving South out of Inverness follow signs for Fort William, continue on A82 through Fort William following sign posts for Oban, after leaving North Ballachulish when prompted continue onto A828 towards Oban, just as you enter Barcaldine you will see a sign on your right for the Marine Resource Centre (MRC) continue through the metal gates towards water and you will see car parking on your right.

By Rail:

There is a direct First Scotrail service from Glasgow Queen Street to Oban, following the spectacular scenery along the famous West Highland Line. Barcaldine is well served by buses and taxis from Oban and Connel (Oban and Connel are both station stops on the West Highland railway line from Glasgow).

Unfortunately there are no rail links from the North.

By Bus/Coach:

City Link buses provide a direct service to Oban from Buchannan Street Bus Station in Glasgow. They also provide a service from Inverness; however this will involve a change of buses in Fort William.

Our useful contact numbers have all the details of the above transport providers, however if you are unsure about any aspect of your travel arrangements please do not hesitate to contact us on 07789036515 or e-mail info@sail-lizziemay.com.
