Sealoch Exploration Cruise
There are over a hundred sea lochs on the west coast and islands of Scotland. Many are very deep, long and narrow, winding many miles inland between steep-sided mountains like sinuous fingers of the sea. These are known as fjords.
Other sea lochs, known as fjards, are broad and shallow, dotted with many small islands and basins connected by narrows.
Sea lochs of both types provide a uniquely Scottish opportunity for exploration of this fascinating coastline, taking our guests to places that roads aren’t made and walkers rarely tread. Steep-sided mountains and a rugged landscape contrast dramatically with tranquil, water-filled valleys.
The significance of our sea lochs is finally beginning to be appreciated and more information can be found here.
